Rehab Secrets
In the USA, neck pain is one of the most common conditions and one of the leading causes of physician visits. In fact, at least four out of five adults will experience neck pain at some point in their lives.

Rehab SECRETS for this condition are:

  1. Apply moist heat or ice for 20 minutes as needed to reduce inflammation and muscle tension.
  2. Maintain good upright posture while walking, standing or sitting to prevent strain on muscles.
  3. Take anti-inflammatory medications as directed by your physician.
  4. Avoid being in the same position for a long period of time to reduce pain and stiffness.
  5. Contact a physical therapist at Community Rehab to have an ergonomic evaluation of your workplace to encourage proper body mechanics and posture.
  6. Stretching should not increase pain. Stretch in a pain-free range.
  7. If your condition does not improve ask for a referral to Community Rehab Physical Therapy.
